SAMASA Alumni Project

Popularly known as Lean, he was a popular student leader who chaired the UP Diliman University Student Council in 1983 and later became a key figure in the national anti-dictatorship movement.

Lean was instrumental in the establishment of the Sandigan para sa Mag-aaral at Sambayanan (SAMASA) student political party-alliance which was a key force in UP campus politics in the 1980s and 1990s.

This documentary was directed by fellow SAMASA Alumni Malu Maniquis to celebrate his life and struggles and to inspire new generations of Filipinos to continue the struggle for a just and democractic country.
